CD player issue

Hi, I have a 2007 Cayman with the stock radio and the upgraded speakers (not Bose). I have noticed that my CD player has recently been cutting out intermittently, sometimes it happens randomly at slow speeds, other times it occurs almost as if when I accelerate. Has anyone had this problem with their car, and if so, any suggestions short of changing out the head unit? The CD's don't have any scratches on them by the way.

Thanks,

Hafid

I had the same system... sorry, no help... my Head Unit would just lock up and force me to pull the fuse. I replaced it w/ a basic Pioneer 8000 BT (and eurospeed bezel... which is kinda pricey, but a good product)

anyway, stereo sounds MUCH better now, and no issues... (Plays iPod too... and BlueTooth phone that is decent too)

It was a really easy fix. i purchased a laser cleaning cd with a brush on it. It fixed the problem in 30 seconds.
