Great write-up and pics, thanks.

Super D,
actually i DO work for a car magazine here in the Philippines (I live in Manila,) though its something I do on a part-time basis purely for fun, and to feed my passion for cars.
I maintain a regular day job to actually pay my bills!
its the test drive of the new Turbo i'm really looking forward to. according to WR, he expects the testing programme on the new car to be done "by April or May".

but around a track, the increased rigidity comes into play. the Cayman S' official Nurburgring lap time is 8:11. i can't remember what the Boxster S' is, but isn't it something like 8:18?
ok, so 9 seconds over a 21.7 kilometer lap distance doesn't sound like much, but that makes the Cayman S faster around the 'Ring than a base 997...

first of all "and so on" is quite a bit.
second, there is a huge f'in difference between the boxster and this. One has a FREAKING HARDTOP MAN!! christ.
Maybe it's not worth it to you. Maybe you like convertibles, who cares why you like it. Point is, boxsters not for everybody, nor is the cayman, but there are certainly people out there, myself included, who are eagerly awaiting the cayman.
