New engine, no crank

I have a 1998 porsche boxster. I just finished installing a new engine. When I turn the ignition on the fuel pump primes for half a second, and then it looks like all the engine electronics shut off, but the cabin accessories stay on. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Good luck, would just make sure you hooked everything back up, but I am sure you checked that already once or twice.

the first thing is would do, assuming it hasn't been done already, is to check the battery. the ECU on most cars won't even engage the starter if it senses a battery that isn't putting out enough voltage.
