Kenwood Double Din 8019 with the Nav, or alpine 205 with the nav, either would be great for that vehicle

Can these be wired for control from the steering wheel? Where would you get one of these installed? Do any other changes need to be made to the amp or speakers? With the history of electric troubles with cayenne, has anyone had electric troubles following installation?

Steering wheel controls is doubtful, I tried several different pieces w/o any luck and started to actually look into it a bit more, but the buttons are really useless, i believe it was like 5 buttons all together for the audio system, it wouldn't be worth the time to figure it out, especially when most aftermarkets are touch screen and come with their own remote.

BTW there should be no issues with the electrical system at all, after the install go to Porsche and have them program no radio, that way CAN won't keep saying there is an issue with the instrument cluster coms... I am sure you will pay for about a half hour of time...

There is a thread regarding this same topic where someone installed a after market head unit and was able to retain steering wheel controls..
Used some kind of adapter, but pricey. I believe it was "brettcp".
