Lowering links for air suspension

I was looking in to possibly lowering my ctt but was just wondering how the ride quality difference is with the links compared to the module. Since the cost of the two products is not even comparable I just wanted to make sure that I make the right decision cause you always know what they say you get what you pay for. Thanks for the information guys.

In a sense you do get what you pay for. The ride is definately compromised in the lower setting. In normal its not too bad but in the lowered setting the ride in bumps/etc is not acceptable. I have tried many ways to set it and it doesn't make that much of a difference. On smooth roads, around corners and highway the ride is compliant and nice but hit a bump or a dip in the road and expect to get jarred.

I just dont understand how the ride would be different though because it seems like both ways are just tricking the computer in order to lower the vehicle. The links just change where the computer thinks the normal ride setting is to lower so I just dont see how this is any different than if it was done by the computer. Sorry for all the questions just curious.

It lowers the compression level of the air suspension. Causing it to be more rigid. At least that is what I am thinking. Just telling you from experience first hand.

i have done that
makes minimal difference
still very bumpy.
if i am riding around the city i dont mind it. but when i go on highway i raise it up to normal setting (~ old low setting) for comfort. i dont like the feeling of getting thrown out of my seat at high speeds when i hit a big bump/dip on highway

i will switch out links with lowering module in future but its not a near term priority

I just got a set for the wife's ride. Haven't put htem in yet but hopeing to do so this weekend. Do you guys think that the "bumpier" ride will make it easier to bend the 22" techarts on the car now?

I don't think it will make any difference in the way your wheel/tire combo will be affected only ride quality.

You can put it in comfort all you want and it won't help if you lower it too much. It would seem logical in theory but not in practice.

I have had it on the lower setting and hit a bump on the HWY at about 80 MPH. It was not fun

Since it seems to be that the links are just a temporary fix does anybody know what company makes the most resonable priced module cause techart at 2500 seems a bit ridiculous
