Looking into getting a used Cayenne. I have read some nasty reviews about them [bad build quality, etc...] What years should I be looking for? I dont want to purchase a lemon.

Thanks

Well considering the price, get a used 04 Cayenne TT. I've read tons of posts on the forums to stay away from the 1st year build.., but I took the plunge and couldn't be any happier with quality, performance and $$$ value!

If you want a CTT and a good price, 04 and 05 are the years to go.

If I had to do it again I would buy a late 05 or newer.

Sept 06 we bought a 05 V6 with 15K miles that was first sold in Dec 04 and we have had lots of electrical issues. The service guys I talked to said that Porsche figured out most of the issues by the mid 05 production run.

I have a 05 CTT that's been absolutely bullet proof. Not one squawk in over 51K. They replaced the coils under warranty when I complained about what I thought was a slight missing, but that's it. I'm on my second set of tires with about 10k left on the treads. One of the best cars I've ever owned. I'm hanging on to it until the body upgrade.
