09' model turbo.

IDEA'S APPRECIATED.

Expecting delivery of motor shortly.l do a little off road driving and do NOT wear a seat belt when driving off road( not a clever idea to wear one when driving on banksides next to lakes).

Trouble is porsche say they cannot turn off the annoying sealt belt warning beeper( land rover had no problem in suggesting how this could possibly be done in my current rr sport).

Apart from trying to source a seat belt clip to fit into catch for these rare off road times ---Any help please.

Thanks

Mark

I'm sure it can be programmed by the dealer to turn off the warning beep, but I doubt that any dealer will want to do it for you.

So you're left with 3 choices: live with the noise, wear ear plugs, and the best method as you suggested is to source another belt clip, which is very easy to do as you have a total of 5 seat belts in your car.

You can also buckle your seat belt before you sit. then sit over the buckled seat belt.

I haven't tried it in my cayenne turbo, but I am able to wrap the seat belt around the seat back and plug it into the belt clip. I do this on my GT3 when I use my 6 point harness on the track....no beeps

You can drive to New Hampshire (where you still can live free from wearing seatbelts, or die -- the last state which does not mandate it for adults), and ask a local dealer to reprogram the computer. In other states it may be illegal.

hmm the beeping sound will go away in 3min... it will only restart backup after you turn off and restart your cayenne back up.

Last year, I've seen a guy signing a release form for the seatbelt chime. Yes, dealers will program your car if you accept to sign the release form. At least in Michigan...

I think the best thing is to take a toothpick or something of a similar form and press the lever inside the seat belt hub, until it snaps in place. That's it!!!
