Angry Indicator Error

Guys, i got my xenon fogs installed last Friday. Still have to upload pics off camera. Definitely looks awesome.

However, since then I have been having a problem with my passengers side front indicator. It intermittently works. I get an error after about 10 minutes of driving to "check indicator lights" and that front bulb goes dead. When I turn my car off/on again the indicator works. Is this just a bulb issue which is on its last legs? or do you think its related to the aftermarket xenons? I took the the bulb out and it looks OK and i reseated it.

xenon fogs will cause this issue. The reason is that they draw much less energy compared to traditional fogs. There are products on the web who claim that they can cancel these error messages. They are basically resistances put in shiny little boxes. So you can do it yourself, check renntech forums, guys there were working on it last year, and there should be a DIY tutorial.

thanks canberk i will search the renn tech forum
is this error causing any damage to my car?

it is strange that it is only the front right indicator...are these lights connected to the same wiring harness as the fogs?

the xenon fogs were installed with canbus error cancellation connectors and additional resistors provided by kbcarstuff.com

Japanese basalt
the Chinese kits are cheap quality

i talked to the installers and they wired it wrong. they ran both the canbus error cords and resistors. you are supposed to run one or the other, not both

i am going to get them to fix with canbus fix first. has anyone used aftermarket kit with canbus with no error codes?

thx
