How slow is the Cayenne V6....
How slow is the Cayenne V6....
It's for my wife and I can get a pretty loaded V6 for about 50k with nav and everything, where as a similar V8 would be about 60k. Is it really worth the extra 10k for her(I know I'm asking on a performance related board, but I do value your opinions). I will drive it on weekends, but have my Carrera and my race car to satisfy my HP cravings.
FYI: She's coming from an Audi A6 Avant wagon 3.0 with about 220hp and she loves her creature comforts(i.e. backup alarm, nav, seat memory, auto-dimming, lumbar) so getting a stripped V8 is not an option, but must be a loaded one and money is an object

Difficult to answer...I went and test drove both back to back and found the V8 worth the price. You should go and test drive them both. Maybe get a V8 with only the options you want and not loaded...
I got mine below $60k..before tax.

My wife drove the CT and CS back to back. She said there's no doubt she wants the turbo! So, I found it's not safe to assume the wife does not care about the power. Now, I am desparately looking for a severely discounted new '04 CT. Send me any leads. Please!!!! She's driving me crazy.
Corey,
haven't got a chance to try the V6, but currently i have both S and Turbo in the family. like the S cuz it feel a lot lighter than the Turbo. expect the same thing on the V6 compare to S. u need to go test drive back & forth. just remember a ''loaded'' car does not always good. at the end the resale will suck on the options. i'd rather get the V8 with the ''right'' option.
did i mention i like the power on the turbo?!

Ryan,
Turbo is 5192lbs. S is 4949lbs. V6 is 4787lbs.
not sure if u can tell the difference between Turbo to S = 243lbs maybe i'm too sensitive
, but sure Turbo to V6 = 405lbs that's a jump non-power wise
pointless to say they're all heavy cars as well as myself... time to go work out!

I guess the question is how common to find a used 04' with the following options(I know this would be min, though she would be ticked there was no "seat memory and mirror dimming" stuff, and yes I know most of this stuff is std on the turbo)
-PCM(a must as she's always getting lost)
-Xenon Lights(it's a safety thing)
-Varible Ratio steering(The only way she would cincider an SUV)
-backup sensors (Has kept the bumper of the Audi scratch free for 3 years running)
-Heated Seats and steering wheel
