Curious what everyone is getting out of a set of pads ? How often do you have to install new rotors.
What are folks paying for pads and rotors. Have been surprise by how little life these rotors have.

Paid roughly $450 for the rear from my local indy shop. Dealer wanted over $900 for the same job.

Front rotors pads are due on my CTTS (61k miles).
$2,163 parts labor
777 per rotor
281 for four pads
140 for new brake fluid.
410.22 for 60k

Sounds like your getting hosed to me. Are your replacing Brembos? If so, it might be legit. I replace OEM only, but I have a V6 too. Check to see what the prices are for your CTTS. If anything , the 60K service is a great deal.

how often do you guys have to change the rotors/pads? i just got a CTT with 55k miles

Find a good indy. Call Jeff Clark at Sunset Porsche and tell him what you are doing. He will set you up with all the correct OE parts and you save a BUNCH. Take your family out to dinner with the savings!! Mike
CTTS is a two piece rotor, CTT CS or C are a single rotor that just increases in size diameter and thickness as you move up by model...
I just replaced all four rotors (Zimmerman) oem Brembo pads and sensors for call it $800.00... labor used my buddies shop lift... big help... not a difficult job a 4 out of 10 in difficulty no special tools needed except for the rear disc replacement the Volkswagen tool is needed... thats what I call it...
I changed the front pads twice and the third set I started to get the lip... but i never cut the rotor and it never warped or shook under braking...
The rears wore out two sets of pads and got the lip...
I have put maybe 600miles of mostly highway since replacing them and here is a breakdown of how it went...
20K fronts (maybe 21K) 1st replacement OEM dealer that's when she did 75% hwy
30-32k fronts and rears 2nd replacement front 1st replacement rear OEM dealer 50%hwy & stop go city traffic...
45K-47K I did the fronts OEM again
60K the job I just did... rotors plus pads...
I used OEM pads from Porsche with OEM sensors from Porsche... the after market price and the dealer shop price is close enough for me to keep it factory even though I can't deal with the dust the factory stuff leaves... I know when I squeeze the anchors it bites and stops... and without worry.. I will give a more detailed report on the rotors whenI need to change pads probably by 75K and I'm guessing that number because she is driving more highway again....

I find if you dont replace the rotors at the same time as the pads you end up replacing the new set of pads prematurely due to the lip that has formed on the rotor at this point wears into the sensor in the pad before it should. Just a tip for the DIYers

Turbo S uses a 2-piece 380mm rotor, and they are substantially more expensive to replace than 1-piece non turbo S brakes. I just added Turbo S front brakes to my 2004. Calipers, backing plates, rotors, and pads. I have my sensors bypassed because I don't want to mess with them, and I check my brakes often. To my knowledge, Orrin has not been with Eurosport for some time now. I believe it was around the turn of the year when he left.

Does anyone know of any aftermarket brake pads for the 380mm CTTS that are less dusty and perhaps a bit quieter?
I have been using EBC Red Stuff for quite a while and they seem to be very good. They're silent most of the time but i do get a light chirp once in while at 3-5mph.
