KW V3, Black Wheels, Red lips and Red brake pads

My dear sensible 6speeders, need your opinion:
I'm thinking about doing the KW v3 suspension, powder coating my gts 21's semi gloss black with red lips and painting the brake calipers red.

The install with parts for KW v3 is about 4300, brake pads to red about 1k and still waiting on the quote for powder coat. My car is a 09 cayenne S black on black with red accents ( steering wheel stitching, diretion ring, and the emblem S)

What do you guys think??

Not sure painting your brake pads would be a good idea... may I recommend trying the calipers instead?

hard to tell how the wheels will look since the GTS style does not really have a separate lip... any way to photoshop it for us?

Sorry i meant calipers to red... changed in the original message.

I only plan to do a thin red stripe on the outside of the lip, not really painting the whole inside of the lip. Have seen the this done on different styles of wheels, they looks decent without being too ghetto or bling.

You def are on the right track with lowering but maybe paint the wheels red ! I think it would look pretty insane and paint the calipers black !

here is a pic of red wheels not sure if i'm brave enough.
also for the red lip, this is the look i'm going for, not the whole lip, just a thin stripe.

They want to charge you a grand to paint your calipers? Or is that for all new brakes and those painted red?

Just to paint. It involves alot of work to take it apart and do it right apparently. checked with GMP, 1k sounds about right. Kicking myself for not getting a GTS.

I guess with the sensors and whatnot, they'll probably sandblast them and powdercoat them too. I could see that.

I've never had a problem with just cleaning them with brake cleaner and then using a brush to paint them. Not as nice or durable, sure, but it works.

If you're gonna spend a grand or more, you might as well go all the way with a Big Brake kit. The Brembo one is hot, and then you've gotten more than just paint on your calipers for a decent sum of money, you know what I mean?

Turbo Calipers would be sick too. Look at the size of those monsters (at the end of that thread). Are the GTS brakes the same as the Turbo, or just the S ones painted?

Not sure on the Brembos, I wouldn't be surprised if they were close to that. Brembo stuff isn't cheap. Most Brembos wear out pads quick and dust a lot too. But they sure do grab.

This guy replace the rotors too, and went all out on the calipers with wetsanding and making them super pretty, if they go through all that... probably worth 1k for that.
