any info on this ipod adapter

Anyone try this ipod adapter? I recently bought a 2008 turbo and want to know if this will work. I had a Denson unit in my 2008 GTS and was not impressed. This is the link for the Ipod adapter http://cgi.ebay.com/PORSCHE-INTERFAC...item3eff94f2e3

Here is a pic of the new ride, i loved my GTS but i love the Turbo lots more!

I sent the seller an email yesterday to see if he could confirm it working on a Cayenne nav. No response so far.

I wouldn't really call that an interface so much as an aux input with an ipod jack on it instead of a headphone jack. At least from what it appears to be. If all you want is a line input it should work, though honestly in that case I'd want a headphone jack so I could do a nice little mount somewhere.

did not work, when you plug it in you lose the temp/mpg functions and no sound. I did find this one that i may try next. If anyone has info on it let me know.

Those look really cool. Just wonder if you wouldn't svae money just installing an aftermarket unit with all those feartures.

i agree, i've been looking at all options including a 09 cayenne retro fit. Im starting to think aftermarket is the best option. I just wanted ot keep the ease of use of the factory unit. I have not seen the new aftermarket Nav.s in person but in the past they were a pain to use.
