Cayenne S Pricing...

Folks -

I am looking to purchase a Cayenne S in the next few weeks. The cars in Ohio are ranging from 78K to 85K.

Any thoughts on what I should be paying? 3K off, or 5% or what?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

I think it will depend on dealer to dealer but here in So Cal I got 6% off MSRP for a custom build Cayenne S. Hope that helps.

It varies. If the dealer has very few build slots and several potential customers contemplating a custom build then expect anywhere from 3 to 6%. Most will give you 5%. For one that is sitting in the lot for a long time, not optioned well then even 10% is not out of line. Again depends on territory, local inventory, competition from other dealers, the savvy-ness index of their customers (in my area one of the dealers' customers who come in with their Louis Vuitton bags and Maserati to buy a Cayenne for their spouses are very happy even with a 1% discount...so why would the dealer want to deal with nitwits like me), time of the year and time of the month. Look for the best deals end of Nov or even better late Dec/Christmas time. Good luck, keep us posted. It will be of great assistance to future 6speeders if we all post our discounts. I am keeping a cheat sheet and jotting down discounts of every area for future reference. I got 5% and am in the PNW area.

Guys - thanks for the feedback.

These cars are in short supply in Ohio for sure. I found a Black/Black and Silver/Black, both listing at near 80K. One is a demo with 2500 miles, which I can get at 73 plus tax. The other Silver one is at another dealer, and waiting to hear back... 7% is what I looking for.

The primary options were Black Interior, Navigation, 19" wheels, 14-way seats and Park Assist with Camera, Heated Seats and 4 zone climate.

Everything else, just adds onto the price... Will keep you posted along with the best dealer to work with.

These seem to be getting rarer on the lots because they have become big sellers. I know the V6 is selling well because lots of style and comfort for the money. Nto many S in stock in my area either. Turbos seem to be abundant here though. I would say 5-8% on the high side if they have plenty of same color. Good luck!
