2006 CTT Drag Strip Results - 13.181 @ 105.86
I took the CTT to the strip last night to see what she would do. Best pass was a 13.181 @ 105.86 with a 1.971 60 foot. Backed that pass up with a 13.19 the very last pass of the night. Track prep was good since it was private rental, but it was getting misty and a bit damp near the end. Temps were in the low 50s, so hard to ask for much better weather in Florida. Car has EVOMS intakes and tune, Sharkwerks 2nd cat bypass pipes and RSS/IPD plenum. I was initially having a problem with WOT after the mods were installed. I had a local performance shop get the vacuum signal from the manifold rather than the odd way it is setup stock. He also made a catch can for the PCV system.
Overall the car ran very well. I was really hoping for 12s, but I'm happy overall. It will be the fastest legit listing on dragtimes once they approve my listing. Those top two by "Dave" are probably bull**** with those 114 mph and 120 mph trap speeds and no slip to back it up.
My launch technique was to brake hard with the left foot and floor the car until the boost would stop building (got to around .5 bar) and the car was almost breaking free. I would then let off.
Thinking of doing primary cat delete next.

Nice to finally see some quartermile times for the CTT. I was hoping you would hit high 12s with those mods as well. 1.9 is pretty slow for a awd 60 foot, but a heavy vehicle and heavy wheels makes for a slow take-off.
Yeah "dave" seems to have a freak. I am doubting the times a little, but it would be pretty sweet if he ran a 12.1 with said mods.
One thing to keep in mind is that a stock jeep srt-8 can run high 12s.

I did manage a 1.799 60' in my dad's V12 TT S600 last night first pass!
Yeah this thing needs more stall speed in a bad way. The times you mention for the one guy were done via a plug-in deal in the vehicle itself. I think there is a post about that somewhere on here.
Nice! I was just at this track in Bradenton with my Cayman S about a month ago, but could not manage a 60 foot any better than 2.2--I don't think the track was prepped great that day. Ran a 13.0 @108 so I think 12s are there once I launch better
Yeah, if the track is open to the public, they don't prep it that well. The rule of thumb is that .1 better in the 60' will result in .2 better in the 1/4 E.T., so you are definitely into the 12s next time!
