Yesterday yemperatures were in low 40s and today it droped to 9
Car was outside overnight and I tried to start it
Starts and idle fine and then just dies
after 20-30 starts car wormed up fully(water and oil) but continued same behavior
No check engine litghts or anything
Just dies. During this short runing time it idles smooth, and drives fine but would die in the gear or neutral regardles of RPM after about 10-20 sec

Left side fuel pump. Vehicle has two, both come on at start up.

Anyways, Pull the fuse for it, #14 or #15 can't remember off the top of my head and see if it runs fine.....

You were right about fuel pump. Just got a call from Porsche service. They saying it is a fuse on the fuel pump. Porsche just replased fuse and drove it around couple times and they saying car is ready to go. Quesion - is it a fuel pump itself going or just a fuse. Wuld it happend again?
Car is almout off of warranty.
Would it happend again if they just replace fuse? Should I try to insist what they should replace fuel pump.

I would certainly ask what made the fuse blow in the first place, there is a reason for it to go obviously (ask them what they would do if they owned it)... It might work fine, but my luck it would work until just after the warranty then it would F up.

I had to replace mine with same symptoms earlier this year , fuel pumps will start failing and then you'll end up buying a new one. Total my cost was $650.00 with labor and a 30% discount due to a friends wholesale acct. It runs around $1K usually for everything.
