It does, thanks! But it also scares me. I'm hoping to get a car by mid-may

originally given a production completion date of 2/22, but was then moved up to 1/20

any issues ordering a manual? Some dealers are telling me that they are impossible to get and other are saying its tough but doable.

My CS order date: Sep 18, build date was Dec 10. Loaded on the vessel ten days later and reached Port two weeks later. Now from there to the dealer in Oregon ??? long ... I really have been patient. Hoping that it is worth the wait. I think it will be worth it.

re: 6 speed manual builds

it took my 4 dealers before I found one that could get the manual trans build slot. luckily there are 7+ dealers here in the SF Bay area ;-)

it was funny - the first three dealers all said it was either impossible or didn't follow up with me; the dealer I ordered through was very excited about ordering a stick shift, said it was no problem, and gave me a good discount. Since I ordered they've been contacted by several other dealers trying to buy my car/build slot!

My dealer did tell me that he had to get a special allocation from PCNA. this took less than a week to get and show up in the system.

It is definitely doable!

Plus, it’s weird, and that counts for something, right? "

@bluelodge

I used Porsche of Livermore. I've been very impressed with every interaction I've had with them. Very different from my experience at the dealership just down the hill from you. Definitely worth the drive out to Livermore!

I worked with Kevin, he's the sales manager. he was so excited about ordering a stick shift cayenne! The other thing I found interesting is that they negotiate up from the invoice price, unlike all the dealer's I spoke with who wanted to start at MSRP.

If you end up working with them be sure and tell them that Dan from SF w/the stickshift Cayenne sent you. I feel like they've really taken good care of me and I'd like to help them out anyway I can.
