Anyone figure out what symbol to use to get a quote for the DJIA and S&P500? All of the tickers i've used dont come up (DJIA, INDU, GSPC, INX, SPX, etc.).

No, i'm talking about getting a quote for the S&P500 index fund and the Dow Jones Industrial Avg.

Somebody was asking about entering index symbols in the 911 PCM (991). I note that somewhere they were shown as $SPX AND $INDU. However, I couldn't get the symbol tab to bring up any symbols, and therefore couldn't enter the "$" sign.

Also, never got a clear answer as to why stock symbols disappear when the car is not driven for several days.

Am new to this forum, but would appreciate any responses.
