EPL Cayenne 955 Flash

In our attempt to develop exciting new products for the entire Porsche market, EPL has acquired a 2005 Cayenne Turbo.

We will be using this car as one of our shop projects to unleash the full potential of the 955. With many hours spent on the dyno, we are very pleased to update our existing 955 calibration.

With only an EPL flash we were able to extract an additional 65+ whp and 100+ wtq with no sacrifice to drivability. We also noticed a slight increase in MPG’s. We look forward to continuing this project with the addition of an exhaust and more tuning in the near future.

Be sure to check out EPL on Facebook for news and continued product release.

Existing flash customers please contact us for the V2 update at no charge.

The Cayenne platform is a new and exciting platform for us. We are always are looking for new platforms for development. The v6 Cayenne is defiantly on our radar, but likely something that will be in scope for winter/fall.

I see you are located in NY if you are potentially interested in being our developmental vehicle, drop us a line so we can discuss further.

Why is there such a drop in TQ at 5200 rpms and then it picks back up for a few hundred more rpms? At first I thought tiny turbos or to much backpressure but its wierd how it drops and then picks back up.

It looks like you logged boost but didn't show it on the screen. What was the boost level stock vs with your tune?

My EPL tune

I have had my EPL for about a month now. The results are night and day over stock. A few observations:

1. Around town drivability is perfect. I would say it drives better than stock.

2. When on the gas, the delay or lag, is minimal compared to stock. Tony at EPL said something about slightly changing the gas pedal algorithm.

3. The turbo boost needle is pinned at .8. If I recall, Tony said something about peak 1.1, and sustained 1bar. The car is ridiculously fast.

I am extremely happy with the tune and drivability.

Interesting, I was leaning towards Protomotive just because of their reputation but I may give these guys a shot... we will see after a bit more research!
