Hello,
I am new to this forum. It is a great resource so thank to all of you for the info! I have a 2008 Porsche Cayenne. I just got it about 7 months ago. It is due for service in about 2,000 miles. I live in colorado and the closest dealer is about 40 miles away( I am in Longmont). Can I take it to a private service mechanic or will this void the warranty?
Is it better to take it to the dealer?
Thanks

Hi Dr. Lou, you own this vehicle and you are please to do whatever you want to it. The dealer can decline your warranty if any part of your vehicle is cause by outside influence. If you take your car to a private service center and performed all necessary maintenance or repairs by Porsche guide lines. I don't see how Porsche can refuse your warranty work. Please PM me if you have any other questions.

Thanks for your reply. Just wanted to double check. Had an issue with Nissan over something like that that 20 years ago. I just live where the closet dealer is 40 miles away. I am in Colorado, and there was a dealer/service dept. in Boulder(10 minutes away), and they are no longer listed with Porsche. I don't want to spend the day driving to the dealer and back, and waiting for the service.

I've had a good experience with 3Zero3 Motorsports for our Porsches and our Audi.
