Have multiple P-Cars? How do you decide what to drive?
I recently lost a 928 in a flood because I'd essentially neglected it for the couple years since I got back from Afghanistan and bought the 951. I use the Cayenne for family trips and errands around town, the 951 for quick jaunts around town and day trips, and I preferred the 928 for longer trips. But I only take a handful of longer trips a year; which is why the 928 wasn't running when the river came.
So, I'm curious how others decide which car to take to make sure that each gets exercised.
Especially Cole, who has the same mix of cars I had...

Just make sure to start them up once and a while and it should be fine. I take whatever I feel like at the moment. BTW how in the world was the 928 better for long trips? I haven't driven one but my 944 gets really uncomfortable after about 100 miles.
RS for track and Porsche driving events only, hibernate in winter.
Club coupe for gym, dinners, 1-2 persons outings, wet track days.
Cayenne for family, daily use, grocery, long trips, and park anywhere without worry.
Panamera is wife's car.

The 928 is smoother at speed and I found the seats to be a lot more comfortable.
I drive the CTT whenever I know I have to take both kids somewhere. Also, if I'm really feeling lazy, I'll take the Cayenne. Otherwise, I drive the 997TT every chance I get - rain or shine.

The 928 is a fantastic car for long trips. It's very comfortable and a real joy to drive (if you're not used to the faster steering of a 911). It's a cruise missle and capable everywhere, it just doesn't have the "flickability" of a 911 or 944, but good suspension does wonders on a 928.
When my 928 was assembled, that was the car I drove the most. Now I drive my main 951. I'd love to try a Cayenne though

Wife has a manual Boxster and I have a PDK C4S. Looking forward to a local P club driving tour to Cannon Beach next weekend including breakfast Sunday at the Cheese shop in Tillimook after a spirited morning drive. Taking the 997.

928, summer weather daily commuter, most non track Porsche events.

(Then there is the rest of the fleet for even more tasks, 2 KLR650 world travel bikes, KTM950 Adventure and SV650 for local commuting and shorter rides, Audi A6 Avant for Jeska's snow car/dog hauler)
