Help with light bulbs!!

Don't know what's going on, had both cornering lights go out, then noticed the small little blue peanut bulbs out...replaced both cornering lights but couldn't get the blue lights, now the side light on the driver's side is out!!! Could someone please tell me how to get to the bulb?? It's the amber light right by the front wheel well. Looks like the orange lense should just pop out but don't want to try until I can confirm that's how it comes off.

Thanks,

I don't have any blue lights on my Cayenne. It sounds like somebody replaced the "peanut" bulbs in your car with blue coated bulbs. They should be fairly easy to access once you have the headlight assembly removed. Have you looked in your owner's manual? It also shows how to get the side marker bulbs out. There's an electronic copy of the manual available on renntech.org for paying members if you don't have your hard copy.

On a 955: Unscrew the fenderwell liner around the light. Turn the wheel to get the screwdriver in better. Take enough screws out to get your hand in and feel where the wire goes to the bulb holder. Rotate, pull and remove the socket. You can see the fog bulbs deep in there too.

I have the above installed in my 06 S without any errors.

They are brighter, look pretty good around dusk and match the color of the xenons better IMO.

Pull the headlight assembly and open back plate that is held on by two metal wires that rotate out of the way. Use your fingers (pliers if they are short) to gently pull out the long tab that holds the wedge style bulb in place. Replace the bulb with the desired one.

I have been told but cannot confirm that VW dealers have the proper 5w5 bulb alot cheaper than Porsche.

Regular 5w5 bulbs from autoparts counters look dim and yellow to me.

^ on the 957 i was able to just pull the housing forward and it popped out. i replaced the bulbs with 168 LEDs and I didnt get any errors until today oddly enough, but i'm not even sure if that's what its for. For future reference, one can get 4LED 168 bulbs on ebay for $0.99 shipped that will fit just fine and match the factory HIDs.
