2005 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S??
2005 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S??
I have seen several 2005 Porsche Cayenne Turbo s vehicles on the Internet.
Question is... Did they make a late model 05 turbo s version. The ones I've seen
Have the updated 06 dash inside.. Did Porsche have a split year for the dash and turbo s??

LOL. True, so true...
Let the debate start, but it could be someone who tuned their Turbo to the HP of the Turbo S and now believes they are justified in having the S added.
It's a never ending debate of if you should or shouldn't do that (add the 'S'). I'll reserve comment so as to not start a fight, and just say it happens.

To the OP here, at least you got your answer that there is no 2005 TTS.
I don't like it when people rebadge a car to pretend it's something that it's not. I've seen a Cayenne V6 that had all the body mods, wheels etc. to make it look like a Turbo S. It was rebadged as such. It's silly if you ask me.
I agree. It should be illegal to "rebadge" and try to sell as such. I saw a few for sale that way also, and it just proves how important it is to do your homework. The title should read "2005 Cayenne Turbo with "S" badge for sale".

Even with all the more or less basic engine mods available, not counting intercoolers, it would be a stretch to meet the HP of the Turbo S with a CTT. Not to mention all the other performance improvements the Turbo S came with, upgrading air struts, upgraded strut management system, bigger brakes, larger throttle body, etc....
If you want the practicality of a Cayenne V6, but like the aesthetics of the Turbo Aero package, then more power to you if you want to swap out parts.
Just make the model designation clear when it comes down to selling it
...Now that I think about it, why not just lookup the VIN as a potential buyer?

What? A simple chip takes a Turbo to Turbo S power.
A turbo will heat soak faster with the smaller intercoolers but there are easy upgrades for those too.
The CTTS physical motor/Turbos are the same a CTT the only difference is the software and intercoolers. So getting to the same or greater power levels is a snap.
The rest of the stuff is not all that fancy either.
Different bushings in the lower control arms. They cost exactly the same as the turbo/s/V6 arms so it's an easy upgrade when replacing them.
Bigger tie rod ends, again, easy maintenance upgrade.
Different lowering module for the air suspension. Many add a lowering module anyway.
Brakes are bigger but WAY WAY more costly to maintain on the CTTS and you can't run an 18" winter wheel.
Other than the cosmetic "turbo S" labels there is not really a bi difference.

I second this opinion... I mean I am walking-the-walk here with my mods. It was a easy decision to save $$$ by getting a CTT over CTTS. First mod was a tune under $2K to surpass the CTTS engine performance specs. From there, it was all gain on a CTTS..
