Thinking about going to look at this.

So my daily driver Dodge Durango is on it's last leg. I don't want to spend much on a truck, but found this. Seems like a good deal. I was planning on bringing a see snake camera with me to see if the coolant pipes have been changed or not. If they haven't how much do you think I should ask off of the car? Was also thinking if they have the mechanics to do it offering to pay for the coolant parts and having them pick up the labor. I am a 996 owner so i am not new to porsche.

Cool

Better than a Durango

Edit: That looks to be a VERY lightly optioned Cayenne S. I'd look around a bit and I would bet you can find one at a similar price with a bunch more desirable options.

I haven't shopped for them in awhile but I know my cousin just bought a nice 70k Turbo for $20k.

The S in the ad you posted has steel spring suspension, no homelink (garage door opener), no memory seats, no tow package, no color center display, no nav as you mentioned, no leather dash, and I'm sure a dozen other things I'm forgetting. Seat heaters front and rear? Heated steering wheel? (All standard on a turbo)

Just for reference the 04 Turbo my cousin just picked up has all the standard turbo things like, full leather interior(dash, doors, etc etc, ) alcantara headliner, nav, air suspension, it also has tow package, 4 zone climate, etc etc etc the list goes on. Coolant pipes done, etc.

Cayennes, like most Porsches, came mostly "a la carte" with the options. So, It really pays to download an owners manual from Renntech.org and read it. It will show how to use all the available options. This will give you a good idea of what you are looking at.

The only real "package" there was is buying a Turbo. They got a bunch of things automatically. But.....watch out. I've seen highly optioned Turbos missing even basic things like the Homelink.

Good luck.

Just double checked the link. I don't see park sensors, HID lights, rear heated seats or auto headlights.

There is a small 3x4" white options sticker under the rear floor (spare tire area, upper left hand side when you lift the cover) it has a bunch of 3 digit option codes. This will tell you exactly what it has or doesn't have. You can decode them at Renntech also. Make sure to read the decoder instructions in detail.

Here's the build sheet for the one you posted. There are definitely better optioned choices out there.

I agree with Cole - I think this is the most lightly optioned Cayenne S that I've ever seen. You can find something better.
