04 Cayenne Turbo Engine issues

I drove my 04 Cayenne Turbo this morning and it started sputtering when I hit the gas while leaving my neighborhood. When I hit the gas in drive or neutral it sputters like it is either not getting gas or is not firing correctly. It idles ok. Any thoughts? I'm thinking either fuel pumps or coils?

Like any car, there is a handful of items that can cause hesitation issues. I suggest either start replacing components that could be going south like, plugs, coil packs, fuel pump, O2 sensor, MAF or take it to a dealer or indy and let them troubleshoot it. You are not likely to find a direct answer given the variables involved.

I agree if its not throwing any codes you could end up replacing all "wear" items and wasting money on something thats not nessecary (at the moment). I would say give it a good visual inspection prior to paying a mechanic.

Coils and plugs should be replaced around 60k mark...but ift hatw as the issue it shouldve triggered some misfire codes...

It threw the PSM code and the check engine light came on. Also, the PSM button no longer works. I brought it up to our local Porsche shop Goldcrest Motors in Kennesaw, GA and they said it is the coils. Will replace those and the plugs, since I'm at around 75k miles. Had to bring it in to get the front control arm bushings replaced anyway.

Ask them to replace your front CA bushings with those from the turbo S. It is a solid bushing and a bit more durable. Same size and function.
