I lost my chirp

I changed my Cayenne's battery and the chirp that lets you know your car is armed/disarmed is gone. Lights still flash but no chirp.
I tried the instrument cluster buy no setting there for this problem.

Everytime I had an issue, the chirp setting is was on the instrument cluster area...are you sure you can't find it there?

And where in westchester?

It is in the owners manual...

Don't have it handy but do recall it saying how you can turn it on or off.

In the 957 there is definitely a setting in the instrument cluster for this. Since I have the Techart lowering module, I prefer to hear the purging air as confirmation that the vehicle is armed, so I disabled the chirp there. More subtle and way cooler.

yes, in the cluster settings there is an option for audible alert so that the sound goes off when armed/disarmed. RTFM is the way to go here for sure...lol

When my 2006 CS stopped chirping the dealer found that the alarm siren was bad and replaced it with P/N 955 618 237-01

I had the stealer mount new tires and balance them. While in the shop I asked them to check for codes and asked them to check the chirp issue- they gave me a ridiculous quote for a new alarm siren.
A few weeks later my a/c need the mixer replaced so I had it done by my indie. I told him about the siren and he said it happens a lot. When I picked up my car he told me he gave me a bonus I would soon discover. I drove home, hit the button to lock the doors. and the chirp was back. I called him and he said he came across the setting when giving my car the once over. That was all it took.
