How much more will the extra 50 hp and less aggressive front fascia cost you? I'd personally only upgrade to a 958.

The 957 has the most aggressive front end so I would do it for the look alone. The little bit of extra horsepower is always nice and you wont have to worry about coolant pipes bursting. I only bought a 955 since it was a good deal at the time.

I chose the 957 because IMO it is the best looking and the HP bump is nice. Interior is not much different than 955. I think the DFI engine is great and like having the extra displacement and better intercoolers. I think the newer Cayenne looks like a cross between a Mazda CX9 and a Nissan Murano. Although the interior is sweet! Much better materials and look than the 955/957 but I just can't get over the lame exterior.

I agree. To me the 957 doesnt look that much different from the 955. I would go with the 958 if I had the chance. Oh and maybe I would throw an S on the end of that CTT also.

Whatever you want to spend your cash on. I don't change cars very often, but when I do, I do it for a specific change - not for HP or just vehicle years. If it gives you something you want, and you have the cash, go for it. However, can you be as confident in the condition of the '08 as you are with your '05?

from what I read the 08's had a lot less issues than the 05's. I have already done coolant pipes, DS, rear main seal, intake, exhaust, tune, diverter valves, plugs and coilpacks but I do get some good oil consumption as they all do.

I heard 08's don't blow through oil as much as the 955's, anyone able to confirm this?

^+1....957 all day long. I have owned both a 955 & two 957's.
The 957's are much more reliable & better looking than any other Cayenne in my opinion. The engine is completely changed 4.5l to 4.8l with DFI (same as 958). Steering/handling/throttle response is much improved & noticeable as well.

What he said. 957, 958 and Panamera all have the same exact 4.8 DFI engine. It's a great engine. 958 has improvements in transmission, chassis and interior with respect to 957.

I chose 2008 957 Cayenne TT couple months ago and I'm very glad I made that choice. 957 has the best of aggressive looks, performance, handling, and reliability.
