Intake

Has anyone seen this cayenne intake system http://www.intermania.co.jp/products...e/cayenne.html

After doing some research it apears to be green filter. Does anyone know about these? I havnt been able to find anything on them. Why havn't any of the tuning companies come out with intake systems? The short ram seems like it would be really easy to make, i think i might try making one myself.

I just discovered a new mod! I took off my airbox and was looking to see if their is a way to put a cold air on my car. Anyways i noticed that going into the airbox there is a plastic tube and it goes out to right behind the grill ( i have a trubo bumper so i dunno wher it would be behind a regular bumper) anyways this tube curls up and ends up at the top where very little air gets to it, i mean very little. So i took the tube off cuz i notices that without it the opening was right behind the grills. Now the car makes that cool sound of sucking in air like a cold air. Has anyone done this before, its pretty easy and definately sounds cool. I think im gona put in some K&N drop in filters to finish it off.

The way I look at it is this........If FVD, RuF, Gemballa, and TA dont have any intake kits in there 500+ - 600+ HP kits, I think it would be best left alone. My experience has been that most high performance cars are very well engineered and the stock intakes will usually yield better airflow more consistently than a aftermarket CAI.
Its your car of course...............Throw in some BMC/K&N filters and run with it.

What is the US price of that setup anyways?

I agree just use BMC or KN, here in CA, that wont pass visual when smog, then again that's not till 2008, or unless you have connection

On another similar note, I did meet the owner of this company @ SEMA:
http://www.volantperformance.com/

He said that if someone would bring there CTT or CS to Rancho Cucamonga they would build intakes for us. They do true closed box cold air. Open air is a waste IMHO.

This is a true CAI. Its closed at the top and back. It gets air from the front and bottom that allows it to get fresh air, not air that is circulating in the motor area.
