Unhappy Broken CTT

So my car has been at the dealer since last friday for several issues. The primary issue being that the engine was losing power at highway speeds when using more than cruising throttle (attempting to pass or move ahead of traffic).
It got to the point where it would just cut fuel or power when I hit WOT.
First they said it was the Mass air flow sensor then it was an unmetered airflow leak. I get the car back last night even though they were not exactly sure it was fixed. After the 20 mile drive home I am getting about 1/2 mile away and it loses all power. Will not drive with throttle at all. It will only idle. I pull over let it work itself out and then move on my way at low speed. I get home and it dies in front of my house and would not run after that unless the AC was on to idle it up. Roadside picks it up this morning and takes it back to the dealer. They called a few hours later to let me know that ALL 8 coil packs had malfunctioned. Car has 24k on it.
I am now waiting to hear back from them as to whether they have the parts and will be able to get it back on the road today. What an ordeal.
I did get to drive a 997 while I was at the dealer yesterday though and that was a blast. Did a write up here: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ad.php?t=44216
If the CTT keeps on its current pace it will be headed for a new owner soon after 4 months of ownership.

Here is the blow-by-blow:
Dealer just called and said that after replacing all coilpacks it still wont run right. They have done the smoke test to check for vacuum leaks and it seems to be leaking out of the MAF they replaced previously or at least from that area. Could be a boost hose.....who knows. They get to keep it another day.

I am pretty far from qualifying for lemon law in TX.

I am starting to have issues with ours too actually... Feels like it has lost a lot of power at WOT and has a crazy hesitation between 3-4K that was never there... Drives perfectly normal under normal acceleration, but under heavy load it just feels like its dying and the RPMS go VERY slow.... Gunna check it out at the shop tomorrow, but if its not somthing small to the dealer it will go...

Good info Alex. Thanks. I will now have to quiz them tomorrow to see what all they have replaced. So far, they told me the MAF and all 8 coilpacks.

Has anyone considered the possibility that the modifications that have been done to these two CTT's might have something to do with it?? If nothing else, I suspect that Porsche might, once they figure it out, deny further claims if they become significant...

Both SecureS4 and AMGETR have ECU mods on the CTT - I plan to do it too, but this gives me pause.

I actually figured out that my problem was a bad tank of gas!! The ECU retarded the timing and cut back the power due to a bad tank of gas! Just filled up and truck is running pretty normal now... Still a little hesitation though so I am gunna go hook up a PWIS (System Tester 3) to it and see what I can come up with...
Evan
PS- Its not the upgraded ECU because I tried my stock ECU and had the same problem!
