chip

I have had my GAIC chip in my Turbo for a week now. I love it! Driveability is much better, boost seems to come on sooner. The increase in power is very obvious.

Yep, got my GIAC ECU upgrade from AWE Tuning last week. The HP and TQ increases are dramatic and lots of fun. Hope to add my Fabspeed exhaust and BMC air filters in the next 1-2 weeks. You may recall my Cayenne Turbo was used for Joe Fabiani's prototype and is featured (pre-mods) on the Fabspeed web site.

Also today, just traded our 2003 Range Rover for a 2004 with the Luxury interior. The Cayenne TT is our performer while the Range Rover is our cruiser. We drive our Range Rover into NYC and out of state areas.

Have also been trying to trade our SL500 (1300 miles) for an SL55 AMG, but my wife will only accept Brilliant Silver and there are only Black and Blue SL55 AMG's available.

Am also adding an Aluminum look steering wheel to my 996TT. Got it from Justin Lane at Brandywine; there was only one Tiptronic version in the US.

Happy Holidays to everyone!

Loren

All in the spirit of sharing views about cars! I highly recommend the chip for virtually all driving conditions. It makes a strong SUV awesome!

Have tried to share pics in the past. We live in the country and have a DSL inbound, but dial up outbound and the pics taken with my 5.25 megapixel camera time out. When the weather improves I'll take new pics with a 2 or 3 megapixel camera on the lowest resolution setting and try sending them.

Same here Loren!! One way satellite connection...
Loren, I was actually wondering what the new luxury interior includes as I was looking to get an 04 Range. The only info on the website was of a limited edition blk/blk car...
TIA

Hi Mansour,

The luxury interior on the RR is like a Bentley SUV (almost bling-bling!) The pictures on the Land Rover site are of the Westminster, only available in Black/Black, but beautiful interior + 20" wheels. Our new RR is Adriatic Blue Metallic with Parchment Interior and Navy Blue Piping. Lux interior adds $5K to MSRP.

Quality of Range Rovers from 2003 is excellent. These are BMW designed/engineered with BMW engines. We have had no problems whatsover. Actually better than my Cayenne TT, which is very good.

BUT, as sporters78 says, no where near the power of the Cayenne TT. If I had only one, it would be the Cayenne TT. The two together are a perfect combo. My wife usually drives the RR and SL500, and I drive the Cayenne TT and 996TT. We use the RR for trips or taking people to dinner. The other cars are for fun.

When you get to Texas, Mansour, you need a 4-car garage!

LOL guys...
I know the RR is nowhere near the power of a cayenne TT but Iwanted something less sport and more of a dialy driver. I know the Range is not cheap but I still dont want 2 100K+ cars!
Loren - I am still unclear as to what the lux interior adds? I had an 03 that came in blk/blk with cherry wood and it was sweet but I did not take it as I did not know if I would be coming back and when....I just lovethe Range - classiest SUV you can buy IMO. Add some Giovanna 23" abruzzo wheels (24s will rub I checked ) and you're good to go

Range Rover luxury interior specifically adds more luxurious seats, seat power, leather surfaces and quality. Resembles a Bentley interior.
