1. Evolution Motorsports
2. RUF
3. Gemballa
4. 9ff
5. Sportec
6. Techart
Please give some of these folks a call and get back to us with prices on a GT700 kit. As you know, competition helps drive prices down. If Evoms is over priced compared to the competition I'm sure that they'll reduce their prices.
Good luck, and please, keep us posted.
CayenneTurbo77, I'm not surprised that Gemballa ASKS for 30K for a turbo kit for a Cayenne... Their prices on some of that antiquated BS have been ridiculous for years. What keeps companies like Gemballa, Ruf and Techart afloat are guys with more money than brains that are obviously unaware that the parts necessary to fabricate a turbo kit for any Porsche is nowhere near 15K. Do I have the knowhow to fabricate a kit for the Cayenne? Yes. Will I fabricate a kit for the Cayenne? Probably not. Don't have the time nor the interest but I do have the funds to purchase a properly priced turbo kit when one comes available and that's my plan. For one thing I'm looking for a company to delete the inferior OEM exhaust housings for maximum efficiency and HP. I know for a fact that needs to be addressed. EVO650, there's no need for me to call those overpriced companies. We both know the story on that which is the reason Evolution Motorsports prices are higher than they would be otherwise. There's no need for me to bring negativity to this site and I won't. I'm just trying to shed some light on the justification of spending twice as much on a Cayenne TT Turbo kit than what it really worth. The kicker is that some individuals are nieve enough to not only believe that these prices are legitimate but also have the nerve to try and brainwash me and others with that BS but I' too wise for that ****...

It took EVOMS six months to build this kit. They came across dozens of problems and obstacles along the way. It's not as easy as you seem to think.
If you can do this yourself you should go for it. No one is trying to brainwash you. I could really care less whether or not you upgrade your Cayenne or who you use to perform the upgrades. The Cayenne Turbo has been around since 2003. Do you really think that these kits are going to get much cheaper? If so, you should wait.
I sincerely hope that you get what your looking for at the price that you're willing to pay. I'm very satisified with the value and quality of the EVOMS kit and I honeslty believe that their margins are not out of line.
Good luck with the mod path that you choose and keep us posted.
I'll keep you posted EVO650. There are no hard feelings nor do I wanna come off as a ***** or anything but I want as much cost effective performance as I can get! Hell, I have four vehicles I'm working on at once trying to maximize the performance of each so you can understand why I wouldn't wanna spend 20K on one. I still have a few items I wanna try before the turbo kit, especially that intake plenum from DPS for $800 that supposedly yields 40 HP. They're so high on that product that they have a return policy if you're not totally satisfied. Cant loose there. I'm also gonna try another ECU flash from Speedtuning USA at $300 that will yield 1.2 bar boost. I have the Speedtuning 1 bar Flash ($600) now but I'll probably opt for the diverter valves at the same time to ensure that this truck will hold that much boost. Deleting the main cats is something else I'm interested in along with straight pipe to free the exhaust flow with this baby and to delete the muffler as well. I know theres maybe 50-75 more WHP left in this truck from where I am right now (400 WHP) and significant weight loss as well.

This truck can loose a few pounds but nothing of significance. I'm talking deleting the stock muffler, resonators and main cats. Also deleting passenger and rear seats on track days... Might be able to shed near 100 lbs. total which may assist the 60' and help your overall E.T... I've perfected my technique launching the truck and hardly any vehicle gets the jump on me in the street, especially at night when the temps are at 40 degrees and those rear wheel driven sportscars are spinning from the lights. I just need more timing, more fuel, more boost and more turbo! LOL... I drag race my truck so much that I went through a set of Dunlop Sportmaxx 305/25-22's in 5 months! I've also considered a methanol kit on this truck but I'm inclined to believe that these smallish turbos are near maxxed at 17 psi boost which would hinder my tuning efforts with Meth to run big boost and increased timing without doing nothing more in reality than creating heat... I'll come up with some ideas here shortly. This truck is by far the slowest ride in my stable and I need to get her in the 12's at least...

Also, I'm tempted to try a small shot of nitrous at the drag strip. What do you think? I'd like to get this truck deep into the 11's but I'm dealing with Denver's altitude.
What;s your launcj technique if you don't mind my asking?
Let's keeping comparing notes. I enjoy the challenge of turning this pig into a respectable drag racing machine.
A couple months ago I was able to get a 0-60 in 4.6 seconds with my Driftbox with my Cayenne Turbo S. Launch was done by power braking up to 2900 RPMs and letting her rip. I got slight rear wheel chirp as the front wheels gripped and the car just flew off the line. Car had PSM off, suspension set to sport. Car had 2600 miles.

Is the Driftbox more accurate then some of the others devices available (such as the G-Tech)? If so, why?
Thanks again for the help.
Car and Driver tested the driftbox side by side with their VBOX (thats what all the car mags use) and got identical results. The driftbox is made by the same company that makes VBOX and uses the same GPS techology.
EVO650, when Porsche designed the Cayenne Turbo they used an engine which isn't a "typical" Porsche engine by tradition. Meaning: practically no Porsche Tuner has ANY experience with the new Cayenne V8 engines. This is actually a very bad thing because a lot of bad ECU mods and tuning kits have been produced at the beginning because there was no experience whatsoever with these engines. I believe you about how tough it was to tune for the addition of the turbo kit. Before you and others designed turbo kits,
ECU mods were the best thing to do on the Cayenne Turbo. A moderate ECU tuning provides the Cayenne Turbo with around 50 horses more. Owners shouldn't expect much 0-60 mph acceleration improvement, unless the Tuners aggresively modify E-gas response and maybe even the gearbox ECU (which isn't recommendable, especially if people plan to tow or do serious off-roading). A Tuner I know tested performance of the Cayenne Turbo with original ECU and a modified ECU (520 HP instead of 450 HP). He told me that performance from 0-125 mph was improved by merely 2 seconds only. Again: we're talking about 0-125 mph, not 0-60. He also said that most ECU kits deliver around 40-50 HP without further mods like exhaust, catalytic converters, turbo chargers. To get the best results, a high flow exhaust system is highly recommended but usually adds only around 10-15 HP to the whole package. Also what I've found is that any ECU mod voids the warranty for the engine, the drivetrain and the auto tranny. No exceptions made! And if Tuners tell you that ECU mods aren't detectable: they lie! ALL ECU mods are detectable by Porsche, even if one uses a second motronic black box in exchange of the original one. It is true that some Porsche dealers might not be able to track ECU mods but in case of a major warranty issue, a Porsche rep will have a look at your Cayenne TT. Porsche asks for a complete printout of your car's motronic. Why? Well, if the motronic reads a mileage of 7000 mls and the speedo cluster a mileage of 12000 mls, there is a problem. Not to talk about a saved max. rpm of 7300(!) and a max. boost pressure of 1.2 bar. A little hint: the printouts usually contain coded messages which can be "translated" by Porsche only. Personally I could care less about the warranty cause I want an aftermarket turbo kit, preferably yours. As for the removal of the heavy offroad parts associated with the trans, I haven't had a chance to take a look at it but I wouldn't wanna butcher this thing while making payments! LOL...

I was looking under one today at work, and it looks like the Transmission cross member bolts to the transfer case, so if one were to remove the transfer case, a new x-member would have to be made, or modified to adapt to the trans. It bolts into inserted nuts in the body, so it would be tricky to relocate the entire cross member.
I'd be inclined to just make more power and not worry about the weight. Especially since the trans is up to the task. My intention is to push this engine as far as I can without the need for a trans upgrade.
