Gemballa Cayenne or Not?
Gemballa Cayenne or Not?
A guy on another forum I hang out on claimed that this was his Gemballa GT700.
He proved without a doubt that it was his Cayenne, but not that it was a Gemballa. Could any of you experts see if it's a Gemballa or not?
Gemballa GT700 is also his username.

Evidence against him:
His

The modified Gemballa Part looks like this.

I moderate this forum and this guy got banned for lying, just want to make sure whether he was lying or not. Some expert that could help out?

I would highly doubt its a GT700.....that looks like a stock engine bay and he has NO Gemballa body modifications. The pic that shows the rear of the car/ exhaust isnt very clear but it looks like he has the tequipment exhaust tips........

gemballa receipt?
THE REAL QUESTION IS!
Does it have NOS?

Ferm,
My GT600 has more mods than his. His looks totally stock to me. The photo from autohome.com.cn is from the engine bay of a modified Gemballa Cayenne as that latter one looks exactly like mine (except I didn't get the red engine cover).
In my experience, with a 700bhp mod, Gemballa would have definitely told him to upgrade his brakes (because he won't be able stop properly with stock brakes). I can't tell whether the stand-alone photo of the wheel was front or rear wheel, but my Gemballa brake mods involved putting in new Brembos for the front, and swapping the original Porsche front calipers to the rear.
Also, other signs that this is not a real GT700 is that the engine gets very hot, so Gemballa would have got him to change the bonnet to incorporate the air outtakes. As far as I can see, his was a stock bonnet.
One more thing you can ask him is what mods he did to his gearbox. I had been advised by Gemballa that with anything more than a 600 bhp mod, the gearbox will need to be reinforced - and that costs a whole lot more. That's why I ended up with only a GT600 (as my handle suggests).
Lastly, I can't imagine anyone with a 700 bhp mod for the Cayenne not having either 22" or 23" tyres.
I suspect his handle should have been "GT700-wannabe".

I drew better sh*t like that when I was in grade school.
I'm digging the notebook paper/pencil drawing of a crappy Gemballa logo. Makes me wonder why they even make decals/emblems, and don't just use notebook paper drawings and Scotch tape instead!
