Call my guy at Michaels Porsche in Fresno.. just a 3 hour drive.. but you should be able to get one for about $1k over invoice.. ask for Mark Bailey he is the GSM... tell him I sent you..

Holy cow, you were right...Mark Bailey is definitely 'the man'. We got to order exactly the car we want, and got it for $1k over invoice. Unbelievable, there's no way any dealership in the Bay Area would come close to that...only drawback is the car won't arrive until July.

It's an 'S'. Carmon red, navigation, xenons, heated seats, turbo wheels, wheel crests. Kept it pretty basic, it would have been nice to get the air suspension, but couldn't justify the cost.

Actually, the savings for us is more like 3k - 5k. Bay Area dealerships are not willing to sell an ordered vehicle for 1k over invoice, at least I don't know of any that are.
Our timing wasn't the greatest for the order/build/delivery process, as we just missed out on the earlier orders that would have arrived in April/May.
Waiting for the '05 wasn't really an option for us, but I can see your point.
