Bypass pipe only or muffler too

Do I need to replace the muffler if I do the Fabspeed Cat bypass pipe? I don't want the car to get too loud at highway speeds as I use this car for traveling. Also would intake help if I do the bypass pipes.

the bypass pipes are great, they are not loud at all with the stock muffler and you pick up good power and great sound, on a cayenne S a nice set up is the GIAC software, Fabspeed cat bypass, and EVO intakes IMO.

You dont need to replace the muffler, you can just get the bypass pipes alone. However when installed the bypass pipes sound quiet raspy withthout the Fabspeed mufflers. I have them installed for 1 1/2 and no problems so far.

That's the setup I am thinking of, with the V-Flow intake.

Thanks for the responses guys. Someone has said to get the GIAC download also to prevent check engine light. Is this necessary, and does it void the warranty?

Alex is correct, but the flash is a nice compliment to the intake and bypass pipes

No CEL with my bypass pipe either- and it makes a nice difference in responsiveness.

It sure does! I think this with the evo intakes is plenty in terms of sound change. The two together was limit fmy wife was able to take.
