Renntech lowering module

Im not willing to shell out big bucks for the Techart or Gemballa lowering modules for my CTT but this looks too good to be true:-

Anyone had any experience with Renntech as they seem to mainly be Mercedes associated

Hey guys,
If anybody is looking for an affordable lowering solution, my friend is selling a 9FF lowering kit. I don't know much about them (think they are drop links of some sort?)... I just posted up an ad for her if anybody is interested...

Enjoy and slam it!!!!!

Dont really want links as I need the high off road setting for when I chuck the 18" wheels on and venture off road which is probably 2-3 times a month at the moment .

I take it no one has tried the Rentech on a Cayenne yet then ?

You may also lower it via the PIWIS just like a Touareg or A8 but have to find someone with a PIWIS, Codes and motivation to do it...

Does anyone know if the Renntech/Techart/Gemaballa, etc modules change the preset electronic damper rates as well as lowering?

If its just a case of lowering, recalibration of the height settings with PIWIS kind of makes all these modules redundant.

Im also surprised that none of the tuners have gone down this route too if it does the same thing or do they just want more money out of us for hardware?

Its my understanding that some modules work "cheating" the values to the ECU and thus lowering the vehicle...

The lowering through the dealers computer is well documented for Audi and Touareg on some boards... as far as MB I know for a fact it can be lowered as once my father tried to buy a CL600, when I first saw it and drove it at the dealer it was very low, yet one day before delivery it was high like a Jeep, I asked the tech to lower it and he did... purchase never finalize due to some service problems to my dads other cars, but I saw the car go , low, high, low in front of my eyes...

as far as PIWIS I don't know the codes or if they exist, but one tech told me perhaps cheating initial measurements the Cayenne will stay the preset lowered stance and stay low accordingly depending on the height used...

I dont think you guys want to be "cheating" the air suspension out of its parameters......

I had to ditch my 04 CTT b/c of the air suspension.....It wouldnt level itself correctly and one side was always lower then the other......after 6 months the dealer couldnt fix it and got me into an 05 CTT, which I have had no problems with.......

The Techart/Gemballa modules are Proven to work....and while they come with a "higher" price tag....i have never heard one complaint about them.....

Nothing for our Cayenne's are cheap.....and its not worth trying to "cheat" the computer to save a few bucks.......
