Talking Jet Black Cayenne Turbo 2011

Sold the Meteor Grey Cayenne S for a Jet Black Cayenne Turbo

The primary reason for trading was the AMAZING sports seats, PDCC & the turbo of course.

The S was great in every way but I couldnt resist the jet black color and the PDCC.

Test drove the Panamera Turbo and Cayenne Turbo back to back. Found the Cayenne to be more fun due to the height, pdcc (can feel this more in the cayenne, again due to the height), harder steering wheel (panamera was too soft). If you read the "elasticity" numbers on the Porsche sites the 80 to 120 kph timing for all Cayennes is much better than comparable Panamera. It must have something to do with the gear ratios in SUVs versus sedans. Since we are mostly driving at these kinds of speeds and not very high speeds, the Cayenne felt mush more powerful than it probably. Of course the Panamera would perform much better over higher speeds but for 99% of my usage the Cayenne felt better.

Congrats on the purchase. A few other 6speeders have also said a CTT is "faster" than a PTT. I searched for ten minutes for support to no avail. Can you or someone else lead me to the numbers comparison between the two? Trying to figure out which one to order. The plan is get a GT3RS or R8 V10 for track days and back roads, so I don't need the "best of both worlds" the Panamera offers, but do like the fact that it's a tad more exclusive. That being said, I worry about a Panamera on road trips with my two ridgebacks and luggage and bikes. If a CTT is actually "faster" during regular driving, that might persuade me towards the new version. Driving the two back to back was not as dramatically different than I thought it would be, but I still came away wanting the PTT - wife voted CTT.

I was not referring to 0-60mph or 0-100kph. This is what i was referring to "ELASTICITY" which is worded as 80-120 kph. The figures are below with the relevant links. I couldnt find these on the US website. Still not sure why Cayenne numbers are better but I'm certainly not complaining

PANAMERA TURBO

Performance Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)Top speed 303 km/hAcceleration from 0 - 100 km/h 4.2 s (Sport Chrono Package 4.0 s)Elasticity 80 - 120 km/h 5.1 s

awesome options! I am working on it. As soon as I hear from Lexus about my 2nd car, it will be time. I am usually a 1 week - 2 week car buyer, but i've been waiting and pondering this for months. At least now, I know I am getting a Cayenne! Now, it's just between the S and the turbo!

Get the Turbo or you will not be happy. The S is great but if your going from a 911 to a Cayenne S and want the car to have some get up and go factor. The S will fall short. I got to drive the S Cayenne yesterday after a 4 hour detail job. It is the best SUV on the road other than a Cayenne Turbo but it cant hold my Targa 4 S lunch sack and as you know the Targa is not for me thats why I have the Turbo S on order Just my thoughts I can never see me trading my 911 for a Cayenne for my toy car DD thats another story.

Great build - very close to my wife's. Just out of curiosity, what country are you ordering from as some of the options you list are standard in the U.S.

Ah, never mind—Homelink is standard equipment.

From my dealer:

"Good morning to you as well. The car comes with 3 programmable homelink buttons on the roof panel."
