DTR lights with in auto mode

DTR lights with in auto mode
Hoping somebody can tell me I'm not going mad here.

For the life of me I cant get my day time running lights to stay on whilst the light switch is set to "auto" (2011 Cayenne Diesel).

I thought that by setting the daytime running lights in the PCM that they would stay on regardless.
I have them set to on in the PCM but when I select auto on the light switch the DTR lights go off.

Am I doing something worng?

i dont know mine are automatically on. easy solution go to the dealer

ok discovered mine are on when auto switch is on.
They just turn off when the lights come on once the switch is set to auto.

Make sure after you set to stay "on" within the PCM, an after you select the auto switch, you SAVE the setting with the seat memory.

this should correct
