Cayenne Wait Time

Okay, I've ordered my Cayenne V6 in mid August, the dealer said it would be here in about 6 months, and mine isn't here yet, haven't gotten an email about anything either. I'm just wondering how long you guys waited for your Cayenne's.

4 months for me. Dealer should be able to tell you actual build date, if he isn't jerking you around. 6months sounds long, unless is is different in Canada.

Ordered late September, built by late December, arrived in canada late January.

I live in Vancouver but the waitlist at the one dealership was too long so I ordered from a different province.

My dealer gave me an allocation date, build date, on vessel date, and updates every step. I had superb service.

Things seem to be different at the Vancouver dealership! Why don't you just ask when your allocation and build date are? Those should be available once your order is submitted with Porsche.

Where did you order your Cayenne, just wondering. I had a friend said he got really good prices from ordering in Calgary. My dealer just said 6-10 months, and I've saw you guys on other threads saying you got it really quick so I was just curious.

Ordered first week of January. Build was completed March 23. Car will arrive sometime in April. From what I've read 3-4 months is more the norm.

Between 3-4 months is fairly normal, depending on dealer allocation and the availability of the options you select.

4 months seems to be the average from the Allocation Month.

I suspect that given that there is only one dealership in Vancouver with the large population that you are probably on a waitlist because their monthly allocation orders are over their allocation numbers per month. They can only order a certain number per month i believe.

If your dealer has not given you the Allocation date or Buid date, then i would presume you are still only on a waitlist. Once you have an Documented Order with an Order number , you are still 4 months away.

I would hope that the dealer really should explain this all to you when you ask.

Agree with GIjbop. Vancouver market could support one more P dealer. Or the Only dealer now should secure higher allocation units from P Canada. This market deserves better service.

Not only will there be issues with purchasing p cars. Think about the waiting times and servicing costs you may get when there is so many p cars here and only one dealership. Likely could need to wait a long time for servicing and can charge the highest amount for servicing in the country. But to be honest I have not researched these issues but just seems like it.

I'll take 6 months. Hell, I gave a down on my Diesel on Dec 2011. Expected delivery is sometime Jan 2013! Im in Taiwan btw. ****y P-bastards. The service here is a little lacking when it comes to their "cheaper" cars. But I still paid upwards of USD$120,000 for it. Someone pls comfort me and tell me I made the right the decision lol

Might as well buy another car now for 9-10months to ease the agony of the wait! Then sell it when the cayenne arrives.
