Cayenne V6
Cayenne V6
Question for you: I am considering a Cayenne and would love to have the Cayenne S, but it is just about $10k above my financial limit.
The V6 could be a great alternative, but I like sporty driving and I am concerned that the 300hp are not quite what it should be for the Cayenne (I have a GL450 right now).
Any thoughts on the ooomph, how does the V6 compare to other cars you have driven?

The V6 is a great drive, but if you already have a V8 Gl450 you'll miss the power.
My first Cayenne was a V6 and it drove like my wifes 10' ML 350, but more planted.
The S is a different experience IMO.

It also depends how you use the Cayenne for. Coming out from CLS 63, I was in the same situation as you are. Trying to decide between the V6 & CS. Since this will be using as the super shuttle for/by my lil one & wife, the V6 has enough power to move around the family & gears....
It won't have the "push back" power from V8, but think on the bright side, you just save over 10K for your future vacation, kid's fund, or whatever you are financialy plan to.
Invest that 10K, and you might possibly looking for a Ferrari next time

Why not simply keep the GL?
As the saying goes:if it ain't broke, don't fix it
I looked it up.. pretty plush ride in its own right, with a decent V8 and a well appointed interior
True, the 958 has a luxuriously sporty interior and amazing driving dynamics superior to many high-end sedans, and the MT6 is no doubt fun and engaging, but the base Cayenne will feel underpowered
Now if it were to get a turbo,I would understand...but all that trouble to go from a V8 to a V6?
I would invest the money conservatively, enjoy your nice GL(simple enough since you already have it
),then get a 958 turbo right before the next gen comes out, thence enjoying a bigger discount
Just my 2c
