New here. Just bought a 2011 cayenne turbo. When I park and leave the car I hear a clinking noise. Sounds like its coming from the brakes? Does anyone ese have this issue?

Thanks in advance!

Hmmm
Maybe air suspension, adjusting for parking?
Can't imagine from brakes.... Unless you are hearin the cooling of them...?

Could be? Does the suspension adjusting make any kind of pinging noise? Seems to do it maybe 3 or 4 times. I can hear it when I'm walking away from it after parking.

I would assume it's the brakes making the noise from cooling off, the air suspension shouldn't make any noise. Do you hear it after a causal ride to the store or mostly after a few hard brakes on the freeway ?

It's definitely the from LT and RT brakes. Very odd??? When I park after my 2 mi commute they both have this intermittent knocking noise that sounds like it's coming from both calipers? I bought the car as Certified Pre Owned, but there has been little things that I've noticed that the dealer did a sloppy job on prepping e.g.: missing cigarette lighter on external middle console and 'missing' rear cargo cover'. These are small things, but... Also do other turbo owners have interior squeaks and rattles? I really noticed this on a bumpy road this weekend. I expect this on a handmade car like my Aston Martin, but on a german SUV? Does this sound like I may have a lemon? Or is this QC issue w/Porsche?

It's okay, it's just physics. Metal gets narrow when it is cooling down. That's why the brakes are producing this clinking noise. I've got it on the Cayenne turbo and on the gt3.

Thanks! It's good to hear that you have it too and now I take it as normal. I was getting really worried. I love that car and just hate to feel that buyers remorse creeping in.

Cheers!

Does yours have PDCC?

I think PDCC is standard on CTTs. I have noticed it on all Cayennes I have come across with PDCC and at the time my dealer did confirm that it's PDCC sound and not abnormal sound.

I have the sound on my CTT (with PDCC) and previously on a CS with PDCC.

If you don't have PDCC then we might be talking about different things.
