3M film protector

Finishing up our final order for a 2013 Diesel Cayenne ... living in an area of the world where gravel and salt are on the road for 6 months or more I'm curious about 3M Paint Protection Film.

I've never had it applied to a vehicle but it seems like a great idea.

Comments? Anyone have it applied? Applied it themselves? Does it last? Easy to peel off and replace? etc.

Thanks.

I would take a look at the XPel Ultimate. I used the 3M product for years on my vehicles, but find the XPel to have a better warrantee and it has self healing properties. I've done full front end wraps on the last several cars I purchased. Much cleaner with no visible edge on the hood. I would definitely have a professional installer do the work.

Where did you get the XPel installed? I'm also in Boston.

What does it typically cost to get this done?

Install is critical

Make sure you find a good installer. I let my local Porsche dealer do my new CTT and they did a terrible job. They discounted the price to make me happy but I still have to look at it every day.

I would have made them do it over...that's terrible.
