How much % off msrp on new cayenne 958?

since I'm closer to buying a cayenne , I was just curious how much most people were able to negotiate off their final msrp? Is 5% reasonable? This would help source money into certain options, I would have to order and build the car so my negotiating room will be much less from my experiences in the past.

Thanks for your experiences in advance.

Broad Strokes

There are many answers to your question. Let me start by giving you the inputs:

1. Hybrids are getting the largest discounts because they are not in demand, speaking kindly of course.

2. Last years models have a larger discount than current years models.

3. Your buying history at your local Porsche dealer has a significant impact. If your buying your 5th Porsche, you'll do much better than a first-time buyer.

ETC, ETC

No easy answer!! JohnnyB

I might also add that it depends if you buying off the lot as opposed to ordering the car. From my experience, I am in the same region as you, there are dealerships that simply do not give any discount at all, so I'd stay away from those; there are plenty of others in your area. I would say that 5% is a decent discount.

I miss the days with an easy 10%+ discount. Looks like you really have to try to get a double digit discount nowadays.

Oh no, I was referring to back in the days (early 2000s). Those double digit discounts are hard to come by nowadays. My apologies for the confusion.

Yeap, stay with the same dealer & sales manager, Cayenne was my 9th car with him. The last Panamera was almost 9% off, couldn't be happier with the deal. I didn't even have to ask, they offer it to me on the spot, HA!

The more you buy, the more you save!!!

We only got $1K off, and this is after buying the second new Porsche from the same dealer within the year. The inventory is just not high like other brands, so they rather have the cars sit on the lot for the potential buyer to pay full price on it. As a contrast, wife picked up a Mercedes for literally 20% off sticker without much haggling, and there were at least 30 to choose from.

I was able to get about 3k off the sticker. The Edmunds TMV tool said we could shoot for about 4k, but I could tell that was going to be about it. Negotiation did take all of 6 minutes so maybe I could have stuck to my guns. Problem is that there is almost no inventory out there and right after we bought ours, the dealer had every allocation listed as sold.

I was able to get 6K off sticker as a first time buyer, but only cause the service manager had driven it for a bit.

20% off? What kind of Benz was that if you don't mind me asking.
The last two cars i purchased I only got 1k off my s5 cz it was a "special order" and about 5% off my r8 when I bought it a while ago.
