looking to get a 2014 Cayenne. Just curious if the 2015s will be the facelifted and if I should wait a little. Won't be placing the order until April of next year.

Thanks!
Raja

2015 Cayenne's production will begin around Jun-2014 and dealer deliveries will begin around Sep-2014.

Expect:
minor cosmetic changes
no more 6-speed manual
no more 8-cylinder engine ... to be replaced by 6-cylinder turbo versions.

thanks! i think i will place the order for the 2015s since it will be months away. If i order in jun 2014, i will be okay with Sept 2014 delivery.
Also getting Diesel this time around, so I am okay with the 8 cylinder being gone.

would you be okay with the Diesel6 being replaced and getting a 20%+ power boost for just a small price increase? the panamera got the new Diesel6, so I could see it getting dropped in the Cayenne for 2015. I would consider waiting.

Well no V8 means my GTS might actually be worth something when I trade it in, in a few years. People love those V8's for some reason.

Personally... well, I'd probably take the more efficient route.

If the Pan is a guide, the GTS and Turbo will keep the extra cylinders (for now anyway).

I just want to know how they are going to keep calling the Turbo the Turbo when it will only be one of 4 turbo cars in the line up (CD, CS, CDS, CTT/S).

that is what I plan on doing. I will wait for the 2015 CD.
As my wife will be off work end of 2014 anyway due to prego, and I could really wait 3-4 extra months to get the 2015s.

thanks again and look forward to getting a CD soon.

You won't be getting PDK. Not robust enough for serious towing. You want PDK, then a Macan is your choice.

BMW DCT is not exactly like the PDK. Try the PDK on a 991 and you will feel different about it. Could be one your favourite things about the car

JMHO.

any update on when these might be delivered??
I'm gonna order a Cayenne soon. One dealer told me that if I'm willing to wait til January, I can get a 2015 delivered in April or May.

Another dealer told me it won't be available until September.

any confirmation on the tranny?? PDK or Tip??

according to a review I saw, Porsche "GTS" models are meant to be the most sporty variant and will always be naturally aspirated engines.

from all sources I've seen, the GTS will still keep the V8 for 2015+

if they keep the gts n/a v8, it will prob be slower than the new CS V6tt stock, once someone comes out with a tune, it will be much slower.
