Try ask dealer for code, but imo no chance get code officially until you pay $$$$$$ dealer for official retrofit.

Hi G_A
so I can buy a code BT for my CDR, finding a dealer to put the code through piwis and it will work?
I had seen above that you shared all parts required for amplifier side, I don't know if you have a procedure to assemble all, if too complex for me do you think that this proposal could replace original required amplifier?

|CDR do not need BT code. And can not be upgraded. This is hardware feature in basic radio.

Isotec works good if will not burn out in few weeks and much more easy to install. suite under front right seat.
But oe amp works much better, especially if you wire him not as tequipment installation, if you route wires in front doors and connect low range speakers separately like sub bass.

FYI, on my screen I can see a phone menu but not activated

G_A, continuing with my stupid questions , will I need to put also this microphone with PCM3.1(not embedded in the unit?)
A year ago, you already give advices for the same conversion and list of all spare parts required to make it, I going to do the same so as you understood now, I have only CDR without Bluetooth and I'd like to make the conversion to PCM3.1 (with Bluetooth).
So could you kindly remember me what I need to , what I need to buy to make this conversion?
I found a PCM3.1 unit on market with all codes for 1800USD, is it a good opportunity?
Best regards
Mickaelo

You have to install microphone inside roof console, or replace this overhead unit with new one with mic. Also you need route wires to headunit.

If you need navi (or do not like "open circuit GPS" error in the memory) - you need any Fakra connector GPS receiver or OE one.

If you need USB - better order whole kit from dealer. Try get code to activate.

And on non bose car you need amp, original or not, and wires.

Looks like that is all you need))

1800? Not bad. Which codes included?
How many head unit costs without codings?

G_A, I'm going to follow your reco and making conversion step by step...
Here is the address of one dealer proposing 3.1 unit with codes,

Hi G_A , don't consider my previous post, not so easy to come on board ,discovering everything.
I'm going to start first with buying head unit(so 958 ref) + Amp parts list you already shared for and i'll keep you posted.

I'm still wondering what I have to do to get Bluetooth now with my CDR31.
Dealer told about conversion to get it but costing 1000€ roughly.
Could you advice me what I have to do (parts to be order, codes?, wiring) to enable Bluetooth functionality in my car.
Just for remember, I have phone button on my head unit and steering wheel, menu on display but nothing activated
Thanks for your help
Mickael

Let you dealer replace roof console with new one incl. microphone, good think)) After all, then they will be not able code BT function on stock CDR31 unit ask your money back, but keep replaced console in car)) cool!
Phone menu on display - what do you mean? picture or vin.
Buy PCM and amp - and I will help you with manual, part lists and codes. Also available in French))

In common case, You do not need replace console to get BT voice feature, as described in porsche manuals. Just need add microphone to present console. ~40 Euro part from 955|957, soldering tool and 45 minutes labor.
