BMC air filter
BMC air filter
Anyone use the BMC air filter ? Their ad in the classified section for the forum is very ambitious.

There's not much you can do unless you have a turbo Cayenne; I am talking about performance gains. You could change out your exhaust for a better sound and 10-15hp gain coupled with a BMC filter. That's all I can think of.
thanks god someone open this subject
, guys I have GTS, I want to use one of these air filter K&N or BMC, but I hear I need to wash them before use cause they have oil and it might cause issue, can someone please advise how to do that, like put them under water then wait until they dry ? I will use them after doing cat bypass,

Those types of filters are reusable. You wash them out after a year or whatever time frame. Let the filter dry and spray an oil substance on the filter material.

Most customers note the improved throttle response as the most perceivable difference. In terms of the power gain, you have to be very tuned in to feel 5-10 horsepower. With that being said, at the price point, each customer I've followed up with has been very satisfied with the filter upgrade.
In terms of the upgrade on an N/A motor, your power is ultimately limited by how much air you can get into the motor. Without the aid of a power adder such as a turbocharger, it becomes even more important to free up as many restrictions along the intake tract as possible. As such, with a less restrictive filter element, you will certainly see nice benefits!
Feel free to PM me if I can answer any specific questions for you!

honestly its all b.s you wont notice any power gains from an air filter. I used to run K&N in all my other cars, it doesn't do anything noticeable. you can also reuse the filters, but if you apply too much oil you'll fry the maf sensors and need to replace them. i always treated the k&n's as throw aways and just bought new ones when they got dirty. but, now i just run the oem paper types in all my cars.

Only useful if the OEM filter is restrictive. I ran a BMC filter on a previous vehicle and conducted manometer tests to measure pressure at several locations along the intake. Didn't amount to
Much gain.
Sounds better though.
