Update PCM Cost

Recently had the PCM on my '11 reset due to the re-boot issue (XM related). I noticed that my version is 2.4 so the temperature doesn't show. I understand that v 2.44 corrects this. Is there a cost for this update and why wouldn't the dealer do it automatically? CPO warranty is in effect.

I haven't tried to have it done yet but I have seen posts of people saying that the dealer updated it for them while their cars were in for other stuff. I suppose like anything it depends on the dealer.

I got mine updated for free and on the work order it says the customer reports BT dropping calls.

Don't assume the 2.44 corrects this.
I had 2.44 when my PCM reboot issue first surfaced a week before Thanksgiving.

I brought my CTT in for warranty work related to this issue.
They installed two PCM updates for me.
The 2nd update was new from Porsche and released somewhere around 11/17/14.

The final version my PCM shows is 2.47.
Hope this helps.

Reset sequence worked. Thanks Okhotnik for the tip and instructions, and everyone else who has contributed with input on this fix.

My 2015 I just purchased used has v4.73.

I had to do the vehicle handoff procedure to stop it from a recent 'reset every 2 minutes' issue. After doing the vehicle handoff procedure the problem has gone away.
