Custom Radar Detector Installations?

Hey guys, the CT I just purchased has an Escort 9500ci built in, but I don't love where they mounted the display.
I searched on the forum and it didn't come up with any pics or good examples of custom installations. So, does anyone in this area have any pics of custom radar installation locations etc that they would be willing to share?
Thanks in advance

Some pics or details would help us know what you don't like. You can see the link in my signature for info on how I mounted my V1 remote display. Overall I'm not thrilled with it, but you are kind of limited in places to install such a display due to how everything is laid out.

There was a company posting in the parent forum a few months ago (I know I posted in the thread, but don't recall the name right now) about building V1 displays into the rearview mirror. I think they have an escort product (and the thread may have been about that) if you want to stay with that brand. From what I recall it was rather pricey, but it looked good.

Yeah those are the guys. I don't have one (yet?) so I can't speak any more to it. Looks like a cool solution though.

Just purchased a '12 CTT and have the same Escort 9500ci NIB needing install. Where did you end up moving the display? Where are the sensors? Any electrical problems? Thanks!

I mounted my 9500ci antenna right in the middle. The ALP heads are to the sides of the 9500ci. Since my radar detector antenna is integrated with the ALP, and I have the ALP speaker/voice module, i just have a small control pad double-sided taped to the trim at the bottom right of the gauge cluster.

No electrical issues at all. The power is tapped into the fuse for the cigarette lighters

Wow those jammer heads are pointed to the sky. You might want to get your set up tested before you rely on it.
I know I had one toed in a few mm and got punch through at a pretty good distance. A little tweak and it helped a lot.

It just looks like that because of the angle I took the pic at. The heads themselves are aimed up 2 degrees. I periodically check the alignment and test before long roadtrips. I have tested with a Truspeed and Truspeed S (favorites for CHP) and both were JTG even for off-angle point blank shots that are completely unrealistic in real life.

ALPs are really sensitive and are generally the most forgiving for variation in installation.
