PCM Mileage Wrong?

Does this seem right? I have not reset my PCM trip total nor my total trip menu. All the information on them is basically the same except the mileage. I have driven the Cayenne ~7875 miles since I bought it.

I'm guessing I need to bring this to the attention of my service guy.

Wow that is a hell of a difference

When you reset that page on one, it resets the other too.

I reset my overall meter every fill up as I track my mileage and MPG closely, so I haven't seen anything like that. I have seen discrepancies though. I have seen the miles differ up to 5 miles and I have seen them both be about 2 miles off the odometer trip meter (I also reset that each time. Additionally I have seen the MPG readings differ as far as 3 MPG between them. Basically the MFD and PCM as unless pieces of garbage.

I can't get my dealer to care about it and they give me excuses about different data sources and other BS. Hopefully yours will treat you better since that is far more significant...

PCM Mileage Wrong?

I think I read somewhere that one is based on GPS data and one from the odometer, which may explain a small difference. But nothing that far apart.

I don't recall where I read the GPS comment, so take that with a grain of salt.

I understood there would be differences in distance and mpg a little because one is wheel based and the other GPS...is this not true? In my case though at some point the PCM just got hosed on the distance. I don't believe it has been like this all along.

The MFD would seem to be correct/closest based on the average speed and the ride time. A possible cause for the discrepancy could be due to tire size if those were changed but that's probably not it. I haven't checked mine in quite a while so it will be interesting to see if it matches since my last reset several months ago.

They repaired mine. I'm amazed this issue still exists in at 2016. So odd.
