a couple of mods...

Well a couple of mods for my new to me '13 CD. Thought everyone might enjoy some pics:

List of mods:
- Smoked Headlights & Taillights
- Smoked clear side marker lights
- Rebadge and replace tailgate with black P O R S C H E
- 22" techarts in matt black
- Addition of subwoofer to PCM Base system (huge sound improvement)
- Matt black wrap around chrome trim
- addition of iPhone plug in cigarette lighter

I have a couple left to complete (new matt black exhaust tips), smoke the driving & fog lights, paint calipers red, but not too shabby for my first three weeks of ownership.

Looks awesome! I want to do black headlights also, are those OEM? Did they need to be "coded" by the dealer in order to work?

FlyYellow,

Did you buy Suncoast clear sidemarkers and tint, or buy them already smoked? If so, where did you buy them?

Thanks!

Yep, second on the sub install details...I've been in touch with a company out in Cali called CAI and the guy there says adding an amp (which I know ain't a subwoofer) is a pain in Cayennes, but if a sub is easier to install, I think it'd be a great addition to the base system in my wife's DD.

At first time, I installed sub only, but there were too many noises. At the end, I just replaced OEM amplifier to alpine and add a sub. It's way better than original PCM speakers. I also tried to add Alpine sound processor (H800) several months ago, but it doesn't work well with PCM head unit.

Very cool! So which Alpine amp and Kicker sub did you use? Can you please share part numbers? Thanks!

In ma case, I've installed 'PDX-V9' cuz it is under the spare tire so I needed compacted size /w great features. it is 5 channel amp so 2-fronts, 2 rear, 1 sub. thought about two PDX-V9 but I'm still happy /w only one PDX-V9. but I guess there is enough space under the spare tire, so if you want, you can go 2 of PDX-V9. fortunately, PCM headunit send an analog signal so just hooked up RCA cables from PCM amplifier wiring harness (blue harness on the right side of the trunk in the picture). Sub is Rockford. For the first time, (i'm not sure which brand) I installed Plug-and-Play Bass but as I said there were many noises.
