If you traded in your 958.1 for a 958.2, you would actually have a 958.2
Right now, all this work for people just to "think" you have a 958.2 Other than this...what other reason to do all this work? It doesn't make your 958.1 drive any better does it?
......at the end of the day, after all the time and money you spend......it is still a 958.1
What is so bad about having a 958.1 that makes you do all this. Spend all this time, money and frustation???
Elberoth thank you for your hel with tailgate taiilight it dont make sense to mu as i told uou i dont have wire #2 in the old connector so that will change everything but also you posted swap the wire from old #4 to new #7 and then you say remove the wire 2,3,4 from old connector and put in new connector in same order 2,3,4 but we already use the #4 to mowe to #7 that what make me lost for good.please help.thank you

I cannot speak for the others, but in my case, it costed me only about $1500 (after selling off the old parts on ebay) vs spending at least $30.000 extra on a 2015 model.
So yeah, for me it was worth it. I just don't like the look of the 958.1 tailights - they make the car look old to me, but to each his own.

Not sure why your pinout is different - many people have done the conversion using the very same manual.
The easiest thing to do is to connect the ground the the new inner taillight (I assume you have the problem with the inner tails, right ?) and then check, one by one, which cable should go where. All lights get +12V signal, so you cannot damage anything in the process.
Go to an car electrician if you are not comfortable with doing that.
Hi thank you i will try and here is the pic of num 2 is missing and i have the whole front change to new look as well if you interested i can tell you what was involved. Jan Thank you i will try and here is the pic of the wire num 2 missing
The pic i post is from the inner taillight from gate and i have complete wiring diagram from 2013 and 2016 cayenne if you need it and yes i have the full led headlights they work but it shut off my cruise control and the changing lines future is cut of as well i try to porsche dealer to figure it out but after 700$ diagnostics i stop they say the headlights dont communicate with computer in the car but im happy with that never use the cruise control anyway
- did you get the low and high beam working on the Full LED headlights ?
- did you replace the Gateway module as well ? If so, which one did you end up using ?
- did you replace the AFS module ? If so, which one did you end up using ?
Rear facelift Qs:
- did you move & solder wires on the outer tails, according to the manual I posted ?
4. Solder wires removed from pins 5, 7 and 10 to wires 2, 3 and 4. Those wires will carry over the power to the tailgate lights.
- did you get the outer lights and the fog lights (in the bumper) working ?
I bought the complete led headlight with modules already on it the module from 2013 is totaly diferent and i didnt change the gateway i have been told its the same from 2011 to 2017 but maybe that info was not correct and the high and low bean working as they should and the 4 dots daylight running light works as well only think what is wrong is the cornering light its on all the time as the low bean they should be lit up only when you turn but nobody figure it out maybe if the gateway is diferent have somethink to do with that i dont know and as for my tailight i didnt start yet because like i show you my num 2 is not there i will try tomorrow and if you want to call me about the front change you more then welcome i bought all my parts from gaudian porsche i think best prices
There have been several versions of gateway modules throughout the years. It is my understanding that very much depends on what model year your car is and what version of Gateway module it is running - things that can be programmed in on say 2015 car, may not work on 2011 car, with different Gateway module and different set of factory options.
What model year your car is ?
What engine ?
What were the original headlights (halogen, bi-xenon, bi-xenon with PDLS) that your car had ?
Hi i have 2013 turbo and here is the sticker from my old headlight if you can tell me what light is that and if you can tell me what gateway to get so my new headlight will work together with lane changes future and the cruise control that will be appreciated. Thx.jan
Hello elberoth i did the tailight but when i press the brake and use the turn signal at the same time it give me error check the rear brakes? I dont know if i did it correctly the fender tailight it get little confused you say remove pin from 5_10 but you didnt not mentioned what to do with wire #6 and #8 the #8 is hot all time since turn the key please help and i also answered your question about my headlights. Please help again.thx.jan
You need to pay a visit to a shop that deals with car electrical systems. All members on this forum did the conversion using the method I described and it worked for all of us. I have no idea why the wiring in your car is different, You need to see a specialist who will measure the signals on all wires. Those are very simple signals - GND and +12V only. Simple to measure and simple to implement. Make sure you did not change the GND with +12V - it may lead to some weird errors.
Did you make the outer tailights and the bumper fog lights work ? They should work with the inner taillights completely disconnected. This is the required step #1.
As for the fronts, I have no idea. I do not know how to code those modules. I'm just passing stuff that I have learned myself researching the subject.
Hi thank you i know its simple 12v and ground but i have 2 wires you didnt mentioned in the fender tailights #6 and #8 and i dont know what to do with them? Thats the only help i need
I would disconnect those two pins first (you can remove them from the socket without damaging anything - just get yourself the pin remover from amazon) and see what happens. They you will know what kind of signal they carry after some of the lights stop working.
BTW - what kind of Gateway did you use ? Did you still use the factory A3 Gateway or the A7 Gateway from the fecelifted Cayenne ?
