Cayenne Porsche Transfer Case

I have a 2014 Cayenne with 62K miles.....think I have the transfer case problem..experiencing all the things described. I'm out of warrantly..do you know approx cost of this repair? Someone suggested I call Porsche North America and fight to get this covered as it seems to be a pervasive problem that Porsche is aware of.
Thanks for your help.

$4500 to $5500 at the dealer some may do it for a bit less. Most dealers give a 10% discount for PCA membership. It would pay to join on the transfer case part cost by itself. Good luck.

Have you tried changing the fluid with the correct Porsche -63 transfer case fluid? This has worked for many.

How much are all the parts needed to do the work ?

I have a local transmission specialist (the guy does GT-R dual clutch transmission repairs and rebuilds, which are 100x more complicated than the Porsche transfer case) so will most likely follow your route.

You could fix it for less than $50 and an hour of your time if you change the old transfer case fluid. This alone resolves most people's problems over the span of a few days.

Agree, try the fluid change first. It cleared up all of my issues.

Keep us posted on the rebuild with a parts list, not sure if the chain and clutch packs are same for the 958,958S, and 958TT.
After the second fluid change using the OEM 63 fluid, all issues resolved for me. original XC on a 2011CTT with 163K.
the oil change doesn't work keep complaining to the regional service manager or HQ.

I just got my 2013 Porsche Cayenne Transfer case replaced free of charge because of a recall I was just informed of. My vehicle has 120K. In fact, I will pick it up tomorrow. I can't believe they took care of it. I'm sure glad I didn't replace it 6 months ago when it started going bad.

Porsche recently extended the warranty on TC. Owners should've have received an email from Porsche.
